Question Tech II not able to connect???? WTF?

Allright, I have tried multiple Tech II's to ensure it's not an equipment issue, I just cant seem to get them to connect to the truck's computer!!! My EFI live V2 connects up and functions perfectly, loggs, DTC's and the like. Any idea's on what I should look to so I can get the Tech II to work? I need to run the ABS bleeding sequence and get rid of this horrid sponge pedal !

Wouldn't that kill the OBDII port all together? Meaning I don't have an explanation as to why my EFI Live V2 works fine?

Thanks for the idea though!

No, it just kills the pin for 12V that powers your scan-tool.

Well, since the V2 is operating and my cell charger works, I'm going to assume the 12V pin is hot. Is that a correct assumption?

Specifically when I tried to pull codes or perform an operation, it would try to do what I asked it, then say cannot connect to vehicle or something of that nature.

hmmm....

The cig lighter outlet is fused seperately from the accessory outlets that are right next to each other. The cig lighter fuse also powers the ALDL connector. So, basically, I dunno. I learned long ago never to assume.

Now it's time to bust out the Fluke meter and a schematic. What aftermarket accessories are wired to your harnesses?

I have absolutely no aftermarket electronics wired in. I was going to install my LC-1 in a couple weeks, but I want to get this figured out first.
