OK....my speedo hasn't quit working completely and for the most part works fine. What I have noticed is that the needle doesn't follow the accel/decel accurately. It seems to happen more on decel. When stopping, it takes a while for the needle to catch up. At 20mph it may read 30 and so on. Once stopped, it is still coming down a couple mph.

I've read all the post about the sluggish speedo motors and the cluster going bad in '03s but nothing about earlier models ('02). All other guages are working and reading correctly.

Is there a way to test the VSS to see if that is the problem or is this my excuse for getting an Escy cluster? No codes showing in the PCM.
