speed density???

Word, I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. It does make everything more simple, especially since there's a thread every week about how someone over oiled their intake filter and now their MAF reads improperly.

No the computer is still controlling everything, but the truck is no longer utilizing the MAF sensor, but instead the MAP sensor. The computer controls the A/F ratio based on what the MAP sensor reads. It's funny because a lot of mustang guys go to a MAF and there's quite a few of us who go to speed density.

MAF tuning vs SD always makes for interesting discussions. Last month our local corvette club visited Pratt and Miller and their C6R corvettes. Guess what, they were MAF driven. Actually they were double MAF driven one for each cylinder bank.. I asked why not SD and they said the ever-changing demands of road racing made the MAF tuning a better, more reliable system.
