Yes you can but you have to do all the tuning yourself. It doesn't come pretuned. If you've never done it before, I'd be very very careful if your tuning your first vehicle w/ a cam and NOS.

 

I dont know if there are any SCT dealers here, but you can buy an Xcal2 for $395, and that comes with up to 3 custom tunes. This will include the tuner driving down the street and doing "street" pulls with his wideband. I had to take mine to the interstate, because we found out it will do over 80mph in 2nd gear.

custom tune > mail order tune> self tune if you dont know what you are doing

it'll be worth the 490 man, Nelson knows what he's doing...But if ur going to only shoot 100shot, just ask for a regular custom tune with z06cam.. U can spray 100 safely as long as u dont overdo it... if thats too much for u, call up Wheatley.. He's allso really good

im building a badass motor to replace this motor im putting the zo6 cam in and shaving the heads and selling a 100 shot nos kit with it i wanted a custom tune for whoever buys the motor doesnt say it ran like **** im planning on selling it some1 that is doing a street rod

 

Just go down the Houston to get it tuned by Wheatley. I live less than an hour away from Nelson, but I refuse to pay $500 for a tune for a "highly modified" truck that I daily drive(Cam, headers, intake, exhaust).

James Henson is in the Birmingham area and is an SCT and HP Tuners dealer. What did you not like about SCT? the tunes that he had or the hardware?
