How many people do you see running the BBK? For the money if you're wanting an aftermarket intake that has a better topend look at a Pro Products manifold. Heatsoak will kill your IAT's which then in turn kills power. The truck intake flows well, but unless you're going to spin some high RPM's it's not worth getting a car intake (ie. the '04 LS6) or an aftermarket equivalent to a BBK. And if you're wanting to spin higher RPM's that cam isn't what you're looking for.

Heatsoak isn't just something people "get scared" about. It's a serious issue and it directly effects your power output. You're more than welcome to run whatever the heck you want in your vehicle, but I'm just offering some input.

all the horror stories i heard about bbk throttle bodies i wouldnt touch it if someone gave it to me.there`s alot of worthless stuff they sell out there.why not go by one of them tornados that you put in the intake and get 2-3 mpg better..or better yet why not get of them turbonator for more power

All an all heat soak does happen, thats why you don't see more guys running that intake. best bet is the ls6, save a lil bit of money. Or if you have it get a fast intake, I duno if a port job on the truck intake would cur the #7 from going lean. Believe me research has been do on diff intakes here.
