Default shift points....hitting shutoff

On my WOT 1-2 shift its hitting the shut off. My question is this, there are two WOT shift options, SPEED and RPM.... I have the rpm set at 6200, the speed at 42 (it was at 45 before when it hit) should I be zeroing one table out and using the other or make the two coincide?

What I have done is set your shift point MPH 5mph less than the MPH at 6200. For example at 6200 your at 45mph, then set your RPM shift point to 6200 and your MPH shift point to 40mph. You have to meet both conditions before the shift can take place... You might also want to check your shift times...

honestly it felt more like shift time now that I think of it. the shift times are all still set at the stock times. they are .300ish I believe.

that was my first thought night, but I know sometimes it works off both tables in some cases. I've only had HPT for 4 days now so I'm still new. I know some of the timing/fuel stuff but the tranny junk is new to me.

If you tranny is stock, this is what I did. Increase your base pressures 4%, lower shift times to .32 (you could go .30), and the shift rpm and MPH like I mentioned before... The increase in pressure and decreased shift times will help... Your tranny maybe be hitting the limiter cause it is taking sooooo long to shift..

Another suggestion is to set your shift points alot lower than you want to shift, say 5900, then gradually increase the shift rpm so it shifts exactly where you want it to shift. BTW make sure you downshift MPH is lower than your upshift...
