my shift times are already .300 in most cells (lower rpm are like .500ish .400ish) but the stock high rpm times are .300. wondering if I should lower them a tad bit. I'm finding this in transmission shift properties under "desired shift time" (normal)

as far as converter lockup, what do you look for when you lock it up, when is the best time to do it, etc?

I am not familar with the HP Tuners interface, but are you looking under performance or Normal. There should be to different values... Is the tune you working with stock? The stock times on my truck were .30 under performance (tow haul button), and greater than that under normal... In EFI Live the desired shift times are calculated by Delivered Engine Torque not RPM...

Kinda depends on what gears you have and your part throttle shift points... Higher gear ratios (4.10s), means you can lower your part throttle shift points so it goes threw the gears quicker, then you can lower you TC lockups so it will lock up quicker, thus saving MPG.... There is a law of diminishing returns thou. Like all other tuning stuff, change a little bit then drive, then log a little bit and drive....

i'm looking under the normal trans. stuff, i havn't even looked at what they are under performance. I'm gonna work on the converter stuff once I get the big one in, no reason to dial it in twice in a few weeks time. One other question, on the PE Enrichment Rate, stock is 0.0195, what do you guys have your's set to? yes, i'm working out of a basically stock tune with some minor tweaks.

also, in the AUTO TCC apply/release table, the first gear apply and release speeds are 234mph, whats up with that? you don't want to lock it up in first gear?

Check out this thread it is for EFI Live but you should be able to convert the terms and figure it out...

I think that would have to be done by setting the 3rd gear apply to whatever speed you are at when it shifts to 3rd.
