haha...... yeah, i read a post that jesse explained how to do the relearn with a techII scanner.

 

yeh you can with a tech II and many others but have you ever priced a tech II??? i guess if i had $1000 layin around id buy one.

if you're for sure its just the crank relearn I can do it with HPtuners, but it'd cost me 2 credits (100 bux in theory)

lemme know if you can't get it done somewhere and I can help out.

im gonna look in my service manuals to see if there's a way to do it w/out a programmer, I think there's a way.

 

CKP System Variation Learn Procedure

Important
While the learn procedure is in progress, release the throttle immediately when the engine starts to decelerate. The engine control is returned to the operator and the engine responds to throttle position after the learn procedure is complete.


Connect the scan tool.
Apply the vehicles parking brake.
Block the drive wheels.
Close the vehicles hood.
Place the vehicles transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T).
Idle the engine until the engine coolant temperature (ECT) reaches 65°C (150°F).
Turn OFF all the accessories.
Apply the brakes for the duration of the procedure.

Important
If the crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure cannot be completed successfully, refer to DTC P1336 for additional diagnostic information.


Use the scan tool in order to enable the CKP system variation learn procedure.
Slowly accelerate the engine speed to 4,000 RPM.
Immediately release the throttle when the engine speed decreases.
Turn OFF the ignition for 15 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully.
