Sct
#21
I got my Xcal II from Jesse @ Wait4Me last week. I decided to try out SCT since I used it on my Mustang GT and had great success. In addition the fact that SCT will be releasing software similar to HPT's so I can learn to tune myself. HPT was just something I couldn't afford at this point and Jesse really cut me a deal on the tuner.
At this point in time though I am having some problems with the Xcal II. It says my ECM is not supported when trying to load the Wait4Me tunes. Both Jesse and SCT have said they have not had this problem as of yet...but SCT says they have a few ideas on what is causing the problem. While it is dissapointing that I haven't been able to try it out at the same time it is great knowing that both Jesse and the folks at SCT are working to solve the problem diligently despite their busy schedules via e-mail. Another cool thing is the fact that "Mail order" tunes can be sent via e-mail instead of having to send your PCM in, and the stock tune is loaded onto the Xcal II so you can always go back.
Anyway, I hope to post results and opinions once we get the Xcal II working on my truck.
