RapTR cam Tuning?
#11
First thing lol...try changing the engine size in the tune. With a 6.0, the 5.3 values are going to have a tendency to make it go lean when referencing VE. Also, make the rolling idle table match the lowest value in your target idle speed table.

It needs to know how much fuel it needs to give the engine before you can properly tune for smooth idle. Erratic fueling on the low end will have you chasing your tail forever with the idle.

To be honest, this stage in tuning is a guess for almost all tuners. You can't calibrate fueling unless its at steady state. Obviously with a jumpy idle like that, its anything but steady state. So you sort of have to play with the fueling in the idle cells a little bit to put in the approximate amount of fuel it needs. Once that is more or less smoothed out, you can start working on the idle characteristics. But if its got big swings in fuel delivery, the idle will move around on you as well. I personally tune idle last, unless it won't idle at all. If it idles enough to keep the vehicle on, I take care of all the fueling elsewhere in the rpm/load ranges. Then when its got the fuel it needs, I go back and work on idle characteristics. That's a good start for you.

Log STFT and AFR error vs your commanded values and make percentage adjustments as necessary. Easier said than done, though.. You might try reading some of the tutorials on the HP Tuners forum.
