I don't have inspections here. I just didn't want to send in my hptuners and then they will make my cable the one that uses credits. I don't want that because i can put tunes and tune as many 01 and 98 f-bodies as I want for free don't have to buy credits. Sweet.

Does this re-programming make any noticable difference in performance?
My 06 Silverado with 4.8 and manual trans, seems to surge at different RPMs. Gas mileage is 19.5 on the highway. Everything else seems fine but more performance and ecomomy would also be nice. My previous experience has been, with an increase in performace, the gas milege takes a big hit.

Thanks,

BB

Why don't you search the forum and find out. This isn't the place to ask that, and has been answered 1000s of times.

Make sure the scales on all the tables are set the same as well. I know when switching from a 2000 to a 2002 truck OS, some of the table scares are different/larger. Also, do you have a wideband to make sure your AFR is in line after the tune?

ok I tried it no go it would try to start and if I give it gas it wouldnt even try to start. and as soon as I put the pcm my speedo went all the way to 100 and stayed there. I went through the tune with my hptuners and I changed everything from my f-body tune to the silverado tune. I can't find anything different in the tunes, I went through everything so I thought but it wont run so there has to been something off. damn it man.

thats what i did. I went thru the every setting that i could. I even did the compare tunes with my factory tune vs. the f-body tune and I made everything the same, I did a write entire and it still doesnt like it, i know it is something i need to change that I have missed. The F-body tune does have some extra things that the truck tune doesnt even have. I didnt like that it would be so different.
