im just gonna go buy a 0411 pcm with the 2 connecters from a 5.3 vortec i believe and do the swap.

im buying it this weekend and it from a 2000 silverado it said on kijiji.

will this work on my 98 vortec 5.0 ( swapping to vortec 5.7 ) or it have to be 2001 and up ( like express van or camaro or anything ) ?

just asking if it works or not before buying lol.

 

What you will want is one from an express van that had a vortec 5.7 in it. That will save some trouble. the one from the 2000 silverado will work but you will have to get it reflashed with the express tune anyhow. What are they asking price wise out of curiosity?

 

There's tons on eBay from express van just the PCM but no connecters, can't find any connecters.

The 0411 PCM from the 2000 truck that have the connecters and wire harness weigh fuse box from 5.3 vortec (was pulled from the truck) and all of it for $50 bucks ! Haha good deal tho.

efi connection had connectors and everything you need for wiring.

I just bought a 2005 silverado rcsb with 4.8 5 speed, soon I'll turbo it. Daily driver.

That's why I'm not doing a LS swap in my 98, I'm only putting a 383 and turbo it with marine intake. Lol both will be my fun toy .
