Anyone having installation problems with HPT 2.0?

 

No did you remove the old 1.7/1.6 version before the install? It does take a few tries to get it recognize my cable though.

 

I didn't remove the old 1.7 version and my 2.0 works fine except the scanner...the histogram only works in the first column (400 rpm). I kinda haven't bothered with it because I am okay with the old scanner. It's the edit program I care about....I didn't have any installation problems. Did you load Microsofts .NET? Reload that as well if you continue to have problems, sometimes it clears **** up.

 

I uninstalled the old and installed .net I cant get a response from hp tuners

 

did you update frame work to 1.1 like dewmanshu said? maybe try loading the old version and updating it to the 2.0? Even thou HPTuner tells you to uninstall it. I did not as well and it worked O.K for me, just the short cuts had to be updated.
What does it do? is it in the ADD/REMOVE programs after you install it 02sierraz71_5.3?

 

Ive tried all of it the only thing I can figure is that my copy of xp is illegal and its not completely installing .net correctly anyone know a fix where I can fool windows into not checking registration I might have to install the service packs also.

It turns off the trigger for the key check.

 

reinstalled .net with the update crack

but it doesnt work for any of the service packs

 

I was not sure if they figured it out yet that crack has been around for a while. Another thing you could do is if you know someone with a valid license they have an option to manually authenticate. You install some software it gives you a 5 or 6 digit code for validation. Just use his code on your PC. Good luck
