Problem Starting after Plug and Wire change?

Default Problem Starting after Plug and Wire change?

I did every thing buy the book and more that the book said. Could my gapping be off. The 5.3L VIN "T" models the gap is .060 what problems whould I incounter if the gap was slightly to big....hesitant starting???

If you mean acceleration and not payload than no...just when turning the key....power and acceleration is awsome after recent mods. Thats right though, if there was to much gap I'd be missing under acceleration.....????? I wonder if it was a bad tank of gas.....last fill up I I put a half tank of 93 in and it hasen't done it yet.

ok it did it again with the 93 oct So know I think it the Battery going....DUh!

Make sure to check that the wires are properly seated on the plugs and the coils. Sometimes a wire will pop itself off after you install it. Not sure why they do that but maybe there is a little air trapped in the boot that expands when it gets heated up.

i agree with gonzo on this one a way to check it start u'r truck and let it warm up a bit and then push e brake and hold u'r brake put it d and hold a little rev to it and see if it has a miss u might bring it up n rpm just before it brakes the tires lose

checked'em no cracks and like I said before no missing . I did find out someting the IX's from NKG run colder than the TR55 so I'm gonna swap the plugs and see what happens.

I'd NEVER set a plug gap in a high-performance motor to .060"...even if it IS what the factory reccommends, you're just asking for misfire and detonation issues with a gap that big. .045" is the outside limit of what I would run in these motors
