Default PCM vin change

I'm having problems with my trans temp reading wrong. So I have a spare PCM that I wanna try, but I don't know exactly how to go about changing the vin on the spare PCM to match my truck. I know how to get to the spot on hptuners.

So the question is:
Is changing the vin as simple as add in the to the truck & doing a security relearn?

Ok I licensed the new PCM & when I go to change vin it says: vehicle validation failed. Unlicensed vehicle.

Anyone wanna help me out?

We clone PCM's so the VIN, the VCM ID, and the OSID match and will not cost you additional credits

We disassamble the PCM/ECM and burn the chip in an off board burnner and then reinstall the chip

We can change the VIN with TunerCat, but the VCM ID won't match and that would cost you a credit. You have purchased the additional credit for the ECM correct?
If so owe can burn in the correct VIN and OSID to match the original ECM without pulling the ECM a part

Do you need both PCM's in person in order to do the clone process???
