Default PCM Question

My 2000 silverado that is a 4.3 truck I started pulling the engine and noticed the pcm has four plugs and is black. I thought they were the same physically as the v8 pcm? I have a harness on the way from a 2000 2500hd 2wd truck so I guess I need to get a pcm now that will work with it, is there a certain year pcm I should look for?

6.0 and 4l80, Could I just get a PCM from a v8 silverado like the one that was in the truck my harness came from? I remember hearing an 02 pcm is a good place to start, it has a better OS?

Yea.. but any 99-02 PCM will work.. you tune or gonna get it tuned to take care of the VATS?

If you get any of the PCMs you can do a OS change to use the 2002 12212156 OS
