Default Partial Throttle Shift Points

Well I've been playing with my trans settings (HPT) for about a year and I'm coming to find that the stock settings for partial throttle are working better that what I can come up with.

Stock I had 3.42 gearing and 31.6" diameter tires.
Now I have 3.73 gears and 30.50" tires

I would assume that with the stock speeds in the partial throttle tables I am actually turning more rpms than I did with the taller gearing and tires, about %15?

What do you guys (with similar tire/gear) do to 'enhance' partial throttle shifts?

go into "systems" change the gearing and tire size and it will automatically scale the trans tables....
And yes the factory part throttle shift points are hard to improve up-on.

Yeah, my tune has the new tire diameter and gear ratio entered so the speeds in the table are accurate but to make that same speed (stock pt speeds) I have to be turning more rpm with the shorter gear ratio and tires....no?

I like 1-2 sooner and 2-3 3-4 later at very light throttle. I would tell you more but I would be giving away all my secrets.

I have fine tuned mine from stock a little bit but not far... My tcc settings are a bit different though... Its set never to lock in 2nd or 3rd gear, and only in 4th over 55mph and only then under 50% TPS. It unlocks under 45mph. I know it sounds strange but I like it. I treat it as a "cruise gear" and am extremely careful with this clutch since it is in a fullsize truck and never meant to be...

Once your tire size and gearing are set, HPTuners changes all the other trans table automatically. So if you want stock shift points, copy/paste from a know stock bin file. then just change the gearing and tire size to match your.
