So i just finished putting everything back together today. Put fluids in, and was already to try and start the thing for the first time. But nooooo... My ETC system is not working at all.
- P1518 is set (only DTC)
- Zero movement from the ETC blade.
- Power is getting to the module, and to the throttle body.
- Code refuses to clear.
- Tried resetting the PCM as well as a full rewrite of the software.
Anything else i could try. Or is my ETC Computer fried

As I recall, that DTC is a mismatched reading between TPS 1 and TPS 2. If clearing the code doesn't work, unplug the throttle body and make sure you get the plug seated well when you plug it back in.

HP Tuners is saying that DTC is :
Communication Lost between TAC and PCM (also corresponds to my Service Manual)
But i'm willing to try the TB Connector.
I think tomorrow i need to inspect the PCM Connector and TAC Connector. I might have dislodged the Serial wires during the engine removal/replacement. But the fact that the Throttle Blade does not respond to pedal imputs makes me think the TAC module is fried...

Not necessarily. I used to get DTC 1515 (which is the TPS mismatch), and the computer closed the TB and disabled it to avoid run offs. Once the code was successfully clear, the TB worked again. It was great in high speed traffic...
Check all those connections. Its easier to miss a plug than fry the tac

Well, all the wiring is good. TAC module seems to be fine. But the PCM is probably toast.
Its no-longer acceping write commands from HPT. And is not talking to the rest of the vehicle anymore (No Cluster information, Stability Disabled). Nor is it commanding the spark coils so not even a chance of it firing.
So either i get my vehicle towed monday, or i try to find a new PCM today. But im just afraid of it being something else and me wasting money on it...
Also, i guess this is my payback for the airhead move of forgetting to disconnect the battery before re-attaching the main ground wire to the block
I dont even remember why i had it hooked up in the first place anymore...
