btw I'm no tuning guru whatsoever.

Another thing you may log is your IAT's. I'm not sure what part of socal you're in, but you probably don't have really hot weather. You can modify the IAT adder table to not take a whole lot of timing down low. It helps a bit off the line.

i know whacha mean about not wanting to blow anything up. at first I was so paranoid, but now once I got used to it I'm not so afraid. Just make sure to keep a safe copy of your stock tune in multiple places. That was my number one fear lol. I just knew that I would have some BS warranty thing on the motor go out and not be able to find/reflash the stock tune when I bring it in.

I also just started "playing" with HPT although I have no plans for self inflicting engine damamge I am interested in learning how this program works so I can help my tuner help me get what I want from the machine.
Shannon if we all lived a bit closer this would be a lot easier!

I saw a really good write up on HPTuners forum this afternoon. I saved it on my work computer, but I can't find it again. I will upload it in the morning. It covered VE, MAF, PE, etc... Very good writeup!

Ahhh, I found it, pretty decent thread, but it is geared for no wideband tuning

yeah I've read over it and it is a good thread. I still don't want to tune my VE off the LTFT's though. I'd much rather wait until I have a wideband.
