Do a log with commanded AFR in the table and if you are seeing what you are commanding in PE right away like right off idle and given that your MAF, VE are spot on down low then I would have to agree with dc justin in that it sounds like a transient condition, which can be corrected if you know what you are doing.

I've been fighting this for couple years now. Mine is transient fuel (I call lean tip in.) and a bug in the SD tune I've found that delays my commanded fueling for a few tenths of a second. Living with it as HPT hasn't come up with the necessary transient fueling tables I've requested to work on it and no fix for the delay. Honestly it hasn't hurt anything to this point.

Yeah all of the 2003 - 2006 trucks do not have the transient fueling tables but I emailed Bill at HPT about it and hopefully they can get them added sometime.

I dont know how to use trnasient fuel ( maibe someone has a llink for a guide)

I just put all delays to 0, then tps to a low value ... like 20.. and the PE to something like 1.4 on alll before 1500 rpm the truck now get out of the hole pretty quick. PE delay on WOT its not that bad, but it could be improved.

I add a teaser photo of the truck adn engine bay, it a sleeper to beat people at drag racing..4 wheel drive is fabulous on "unpreped" tracks
