building a truck but i do not have a ecm for the motor, which is a ally and a dura. i have no ecms what so ever. what can i do to get this truck up and running?
can i go to the junk yard and find a diesel ecm?
i know the motor is a 06-07 but there is no info to obtain any info.
other than the rebuilder which the rebuilder is a gas 6.0

 

Get a hold of SoCal Diesel. (google them) Pretty sure he can set you up with an ECM that's tuned for your motor/trans, desired power level and all the emissions/security stuff you need turned off.

 

I sent you a pm, but if your running the duramax/Allison combo you will need a tcm "transmission control module" also.

i have purchased another ECM for an 06.
i was told that i will have to just turn off the VAT system like all other swaps!
