New Truck and Old EFI Live
#1
I had my 2004 CCSB 5.3L with Magnacharger for 8 years and bought EFI live about 6 years ago. I never used it to tune, I just don't trust myself. I used it for data logging and monitoring.
I just traded in the old truck for a 2011 1500 Denali with the 6.2L. The obvious question is can I use my old EFI Live set-up for the new truck? Are the connectors the same? I have EFI Live Flashscan V1.2.
If it does work, which vendors/ tuners will send out EFI Live tunes so I can upload to the truck?
Thanks and any other tuning tips for this truck would be great! My main goal is to get a few more ponies and better MPG.

Thanks! I did some more digging and finally found a chart on EFI Live. It wont work. I can upgrade though for a few hundred less than the full package. Any idea what a EFI live V1.2 with one license left would be worth on the market?

Honestly you would be better of doing the upgrade. there giving you almost $400 towards a new unit. May even be posible to get that 1 extra license transfered. I can't say for sure but I dont think you would get more then 200-300 for the V1
$499 for V1-V2 upgrade 2 new lic and the V1 lic will transfer and it will still work as a scaning tool afterward...
The V1 once transfered will only work as tune tool for the vehical it was lic too. It will be a scan only tool on everything else but you can probally get a few dollars back on it even as a scan only tool.
$899 for a new V2 unit but you have to sale old unit.

I can setup up with upgrading you to a V2. As stated, you can upgrade the V1 to V2 and leave one open license on it and sell it that way (gives it more value). Let me know if I can help or if you have anymore questions.
