Is the speedo correct now with the new tire size? If so, and it is not shifting at commanded mph, your VSS pulse per mile and Trans rev/mile are not matching and didn't get resolved with the auto-correct. HPT has this problem with some OS's and is a factor of 10 off so it has to be manually calculated. Trans rev/mile = tire rev/mile / gear ratio Does EFI Live not have the tire size sanity check in the speedo tab where you change the tire size/gear ratio? If it does and this is the problem, you will see those the two tire sizes do not match.

Reload the last known good file. You may have to use a height that's different than the actual tire size to make a difference. One inch may not fix it. I've actually had to enter as much as 31" to make a 29" tire read/shift correctly. Try different measurements. As has been mentioned, as tire size may not give the ACTUAL height of a tire when converted. Lots of things affect the measurement. So your 28" tire may be 27" etc etc....

Adjust it in half inch increments until its correct and ALWAYS use the auto rescale function. It's a night freaking mare if you don't.

Gadget, thanks for the help but Justin did the tune and it is something I can't just post.

again thanks for everyone's time. This tuning stuff isn't a simple fix all the time like a flat tire! So any and help you guys can offer is truly appreciated.
Copy and paste the tables that "you" adjusted to another tune file then post it. that way you don't back door justin and we can look at it. It is going to be really hard for anyone here to help you if you don't post a tune.

Just take your stock tune, and do a tranny segment swap of the tune before the tire swap. That will give us the transmission tune.

No. I haven't had time to mess with it. Justin emailed me back assuming I hadn't saved the tire calculations and recommended I do so. I again confirmed they were changed in another new file and the same thing.

I might throw some stock height 20" tires I have at the shop and run it down the road and confirm it cures the problem. And that it isn't a fluke thing that I swapped tire sizes then something else went out of wack. Problem is I only have 2. Does anyone know if this is going to freak out the ABS? I can turn traction control off because I would assume it definitely won't like it. Again this would be for just a short enough time to run it 3 miles to see if it shifts properly in 2wd!

It should be alright and not freak it out, especially for a short distance. I have run 30" front tires and 26" rear tires at the track and it was fine.

Well I put the stock size 20" tire on the rear and it made it slightly better but it still didn't shift at WOT and wasn't pefect.

I didn't measure the height but it is speced to be thesame height as my 17 tire.

Does anyone know what could possibly cause the issue as far as a sensor or other problem? I really think it is still the shorter tire because like I said the other tire was better but my guess is it was still a tiny bit shorter so it threw it off just slightly.

Thanks again.

pull 10mph out of your 1-2 shift and 15mph out of your 2-3 shift.. whats your RPM WOT shift? 5900?
