Do you have around 12 volts at the 40 AMP fuse???

 

i didnt check that one. ill check it tomorrow when i get home from work. and i need to get a wire thin enough to try and jump those pins. i thought it would be those because the relay shows those as a switch but i wanted to make sure.

 

Is there a fuseable link going from the battery to starter?

 

the old starter worked but not well up until i changed the neutral position sensor and the starter. is there a way to bypass the neutral switch?

 

Have u checked the small wire to the starter? Voltage should be there when key is in crank position.

 

no voltage. im thinking i may need to adjust that neutral position sensor. i looked at it last night and there is room for about a 1/2 in of adjustment. im thinking this may be an issue as well.

 

It could be. Are you all the way to one side of the adjustment???

I believe there usually somewhere around center or slightly off to one side.

ok so i adjusted the neutral sensor and hit the key got a click from the starter and now my dash is dead and i have no power to the starter again. i checked the crank and main fuse and they are fine. i have power to the dome light and the annoying beeping when the key is in comes on. im thinking i may need a new wiring harness. any suggestions? i obviously have a ground somewhere.
