Default Nelson's Performance Tune

I am getting ready to order my mail order Nelson's Performance tune. I have an 01 5.3 Silverado with Spectre Cold Air Intake, Speed Engineering Long Tube Headers, 3" exhaust, VMS plug wires and that's pretty much it. My question is in filling out they'er online tuning form, what do you most people choose for transmission firmness?? I haven't upgraded anything on my 60le yet. I'll be getting a trans cooler for sure but nothing else as of yet. Any recommendations on experience with a basic street tune??

He makes it shift nice and firm under WOT, but smooth under normal driving. I had 4.11 gears and corvette servo, and it would spin the tires on the 1-2 shift with stock 60e

I recommend calling him and speaking with him. He listens really good to your needs and how you use your vehicle. Once we are clear on that i just tell him do what you think is best. Ive never had any issues

Great advice man! I contemplated calling him and looks like this will indeed be the best option.

Why use someone that locks the PCM so no one else can ever change it?

Not sure I'd want to get it changed frequently, if I upgrade I'd send it back to him for a retune.

I would NOT send money to anyone that LOCKS YOUR PCM.
Not even the factory would do such a thing.
