Default Nelson tune on the way..What should I expect?

2008 GMC 1500 CC 5.3 (243) GMPP intake Pacesetter LT's ORY 18' Magnaflow dumped. 20'wheels 3;73 2/3 lowered. I have been running a Predator and the truck just fly's up top.low end with TQ Managment sucks. We are keeping 25% for some life before GM replaces it. How much happier will I be? Gonna do a verter but figure tranny will crap out first.

This is not my hot rod. But I have not driven a nnbs truck without all the TM intervention. I mean is this really gonna wake it up! I plan on more cubes and power adder. Economy is not kind to my industry so baby steps on my mod's for my d.d.

I was very pleased with my Nelson Tune, dropped over a full second off my 1/4 mile.

I will be diggin that! wanna do a verter and a small shot but hate to screw up a verter when the 4l60 poops. Then have to pull it out and put my cats back on for warranty. Figure that would look better.

Why not take out your stock trans and put it on the shelf. Purchase either a used unit and have it built properly or purchase one ready to go.

That way
1. You don't ruin a good transmission needlessly
2. You don't chance trashing your converter
3. Less hassle, will last longer, and you can do the mods you want safely. (Except Nitrous - that's a rod knock waiting to happen)

I can't imagine that GM will honor your warranty anyway knowing the trans has been out or separated from the engine.
