Default Need Help With Vortec Maxx

I Have An 08 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 Half Ton With 6.0 Vortec Maxx With 11,000 Miles.......mods Include...gm Performance Cold Air Intake...superchips Tuner Set At 87 Octane.....magnaflow Cat Back And Throttle Body Spacer But This Truck Is A Pig From Idle To About 3500 Rpm...it Wont Even Break The Tires Loose At A Stop Light With The Traction Control Off....is The Normal Performace This Is My First Chevy Was Ford Power Stroker For The Longest And My Diesel Would Get Off The Line Faster Than This Truck Thanks In Advance For Your Help

It's called Torque Management. It makes the transmission last longer by reducing your power output on take off.
Of course your diesel took off faster. Diesels are made to get seemingly unmoveable objects moving.

Get a mail order tune or go to a dyno shop and get a custom tune. Don't know what you paid for superchips, but you probably could have gotten a mail order tune and actually made a difference.

YUP, I agree, it has a lot to do with TM.
I removed all of it from my Engine and Transmission. Big difference

Get a dyno tune made a day and night difference in my VMAX
