I know it isn't a TBSS, but I would still appreciate any help/advice someone could offer.

I was dropping my daughter off at school this past Wednesday. When I went to start the truck it would spin, but not turn over. It did this twice. So I figured, I would just have it towed home..since I was only minutes from home and the tow was free. While I was waiting for the flatbed, I decided to try it again...and this time absolutely nothing at all. It was like the battery had died. So I get it home and when hubby gets home about 6 hrs later. He tries it, it spins, but won't turn over. He tries it again and it doesn't nothing again. So we check the battery/battery cables...both are good. So now we are feeling maybe the starter or ignition switch, but these are just guesses, nothing more. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on with the truck? Could it be a sensor or module of some sort that's gone??? I'm just really frustrated. Please help!!!

What do you mean by spinning but not turning over? The starter is spinning but the engine isn't cranking?
If so, it sounds like the starter is not kicking out the drive gear mechanism to engage the gears on the flexplate to crank the motor; a weak solenoid can cause this.
Probably check the solenoid first, that would be my best guess.
