Default motor swap ???? please help!

Alright by buddy got his 99 5.3 motor into his 97 obs silverado. Got all the wiring figured out we think. Any ways the truck fires up for a second or two then shuts off. Were pretty sure its the computer's security cutting fuel to the injectors. Is there a way in HP tuners to eliminate the fuel cutoff issue? I have HP tuners for my truck that we can use on his but I am still very new to hpt's and don't even know where to start.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Mark

Yes you can disable VATS.

system>general>VATS- enable/PWM/none. Choose none.

Ok you have 3 choices serial ,pwm, none. The stock tune was set to serial. changed it to none and it wouldn't fire at all. changed it back to serial truck fires and stays running. Well Not sure how it worked, maybe I confused the hell out of the computer. Thanks anways guys!
