Default More DBW problems, possible failed x-link?

First off i am not bashing my x-link at all, and when i called to ask him questions he said he would be more than happy to look at it if i sent it in....

So my turck has been having DBW issue lately, its happening more often and getting pretty anoying to say the least. It happens about half the time that i start it, mostly on cold starts but not always cold. It will idle fine, no codes at all but when i go to give it gas it feels slugish, wot feels like half or less. If i key it off and then back on it will somtimes feel normal for a minute and then go back to doing it? I have tried 3 different 87mm dbw throttle bodies, one of them was even new out of the box from gm with no change. I've installed a brand new from gm TAC module and had it do it to me the next morning lol. As far as i know the TAC system is mostly independent from the pcm so i dont think the ecm is my issue. I have not tried a new gas pedal yet though. I just think its very odd that i get no codes related to the TAC system at all when this happens, this is why im thinking its in the x-link itself and the TAC/PCM is unable to tell that there is even a issue? Any info would be great, Thanks JR

Do you have the ability to log TPS? If the engine is off, and you floor it, does the blade open up 100%? If it doesn't, plug in the original throttle body and floor it to see if it opens up that way.

Any problem in the TAC system will set codes with an X-Link just as without one. If the blade does not do what the pedal and the tune tables are commanding, codes will be set and your throttle will be disabled (REP mode). A problem with an X-Link would cause a disagreement between TPS1 and TPS2 which will throw a code or 2.

With the key on/engine off watch what the blade is doing while someone else steps on the pedal....does it open all the way?

Note: sorry for the wait guys, my truck has been down for the winter, now she is up and running with a fresh gm LS2 silver blade throttle body and im having the same issues again..... I did get a quick log of it doing it with Shane's Hptuners and when you go WOT it shows 40% and feels like 40%??? On another note there are two other local guys running TBSS setups with an x-link having the exact same issue to a T!? I would like to take a snap shot with the tech II here in the next few days of the ATC data when its doing it to see if commanded and actual are both showing 40%. Only part of this system that hasn't been replaced with a brand new GM part is the pedal and of course the x-link, all wiring has been checked. It only seems to do it after a heat soaked re-start or on a high moisture morning?? I will try to post the log i have.....

The problem with this is if i shut the engine off (key off and then back on) it resets the system and 90% of the time it stops doing it....

I could, but i'd need a fast TB adapter....

no codes found?

Again hard to do this since it re-sets, no codes found and none of them are turned off in the pcm.....

Can you catch this on a log and post it when this happens? What changes were made before this started to happen? Do you still have the factory pedal, ECM and TAC? This could be a total separate issue from the DBW system. If you get REP mode, you should have codes still stored in the ECM even though the light is not on.

I will see if i can post the log, it is a factory pedal, pcm and TAC. It does not go in to REP mode, the codes for that are not turned off and would trip a light, and there are no TAC system codes stored ever?
