Default megasquirt!---------- some questions

i was wondering if i could run an MS2 piggy back my stock 4.3L computer to run the fuel/spark and boost maps-

if i piggy back an ms2 onto my stock computer can it read the boost for the stock computer so i can go above 14psi since i onnly have a 2bar map sensor-

how hard is it 2 piggy back the ms2 into a system?

Ummmm....need some more info. So you're going to have the stock computer control the trans, a/c etc. and MS do fuel/spark? What's a boost map? Your stock computer is using a 2 bar map sensor? What do you plan on using to trigger the MS?

im sorry not boost map- lol- i know my stock computer has a 2bar map sensor so really it only reads 14+ psi of boost and i will be running more than that so i need @ least a 2.5 bar mapsensor which comes on the MS. i dunno what would trigger it- i have been reading on there forum quite a bit. btw. what do you mean trigger it? i would want it to be on all the time. please elaborate.

thanks

there is no need too. You have a very nice stock computer that you can easily make work with a 2 bar map. Allthough to answere your question yes, it can run spark and fuel on a piggyback. Just no need to do so.

The MS (and any other) ECM needs a crank trigger or some other sort of signal to tell the computer that the engine is turning and at what rpm. If you want MS to control both fuel and spark, it needs a crank trigger. If you only want to control fuel, you can use the tach output from the stock computer to trigger the MS.
