I definitely trust the guy, he seems to know his stuff and I definitely dont feel like he is jerking me around. he is giving me honest answers and helping me out. I can understand why he would put so much TM in his tune with the big tires and that much hp with a high gearing, but i am curious to know if the gears will make that trans live longer or not... My truck is a 08 Silverado CCSB you prob have seen it around. its Pewter in colour (sorta silver with a hint of brown) and is lifted up on 35s, It has a Live Ammo decal on the rear window (my freestyle motocross and snocross group)... you cant miss it. id definitely like to get together though and check out your truck. what do you have for a trans in it? Did you ever get it Dynoed?
Gears will save your tranny bigtime, you will love some 4.88s or 5.13s
I have a FLT Level 6 4L65E with a 3200 stall
I run no torque management at all, I ran it with zero with my stock trans for awhile aswell and only swapped to a built trans for a little more peace of mind for abit.
when I swap to my new cam I would like to get a 3600 stall
I havent ever gotten it dynoed cause I know my heavy tires and big 14ff would eat ALOT of hp, I know my tune is spot on so only track times will prove anything. I will defantily be taking it to the track next summer for N/A and nitrous times
what area you from?

Right on. well thats some good news to hear about the gears. I live in East Selkirk, about 20 min north of winnipeg. Do you have an idea or an estimate in what yours would run on the track? Also what nitrous kit are you running and how big of a shot? You should come check out my install on my system its pretty clean.

I know were that is, I am building a house in St.Alolphe right now.
I dont know what I would run, hoping to be in the 14s N/A but not to sure. I will find out next year. I did run a 550hp diesel that Brian Wall tuned and I took the guy pretty hard up to about 100 and then he was coming up on me pretty strong. I am really curious to see what I 60ft cause I launch really hard.
I have a NX kit that I got off a buddys mustang, I am gonna start at 100 shot and defantily try out 150 at the track or for fun runs on the highway.
What you hoping to run?
I would be down to check out your install

I havent sprayed the new motor yet, just because my stock fuel pump is nearly maxed out. I am putting in an auxilary fuel pump tomorrow just for the nitrous system so that it turns on when i turn on the nitrous management unit. I was spraying just a 75 shot to the previous motor until i broke the output shaft and took out most of the trans. Even the 75 you could tell it had a lot more jam. i couldnt imagine doing a 150...not to mention the stress on the transmission. just make sure you get a window switch and install it... imo its the safest way to have nitrous, less chance of backfires, and less chance of hurting the engine with high cylinder pressures. I am running a 14.8 right now using dynolicious on my i phone (i heard its somewhat accurate) i am hoping to break the 13 mark after i get the gears installed on tuesday and my trans file fixed. 13 may only be possible with the spray, but i know forsure i wont be going any bigger than a 75, i might even just stick with a 50, just to say i have nitrous and its functional. PM me and ill get you my number. i want to check out your truck.

You should defanitly be a 13 second truck.
When I spray I will have my tune spot on and make sure everything is setup for it.
I got a billet output shaft with my Level 6 transmission

I dyno'd a f body with the same ls3 crate engine with a 6 speed and supporting mods and it made 450-460rwhp. Making 500+ through an auto seems off to me, especially when you say it doesnt feel fast. I have owned a couple trucks with around 500 hp and there was no doubt they had more power over stock.
