Default LS1 Tune/ 100 dollar tune?

So I keep hearing from friends, and cousins of friends that they spent 100 bucks on a dyno tune or custom tune that ran them up also 100 HP to the wheels. Ive heard it being the "LS1" tune and just this crazy tune. Ive heard a shop in cummins GA was doing them and one in Lousiana down by New orleans.
Is this true? Any insight?

Things that sound too good to be true generally are.

The shop they are talking about is Vengeance racing or performance. They are a sponsor of LS1tech.com.

They are located in Cumming, GA

But unless they were HEAVILY modded I doubt a tune would make 100hp difference and if its on a mostly stock vehicle I REALLY doubt it would.

I am definately going to call them soon thanks for the name.
But in all out seriousness, I have heard the same thing like cost and outcome and everything from real good friends. I thought it was BS at first and then I met a random guy at a gas station telling me the same damn thing so its gotta be somewhat true, the bulshit cant go that far you know...
So its an LS1 tune?

It is the shop, I just called them thanks.
They want 375 for a dyno tune to whatever I want. Said I would pick up some mileage about 2mpg if I stay out of it and quite big HP increase depending on how GM tuned my motor. However he said I would definitely notice a huge difference and I asked him about stuff I had been hearing, guys running 13s with headers, intake, exhaust and a tune. He said that would be quite feasible and with a daily driver would also be feasible.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Is your truck ECSB or RCSb? If RCSB I'm sure 13s is pretty do-able. but in and ECSb I sort-of doubt it with just a few boltons.
