LS1 fan settings
hey guys...I put in a set of LS1 fans(and nelson harness) in my truck recently and my friend tuned the computer so everything works great. My question to you guys is do any of you guys have it set so the fans stay running after the truck is shut off and for how long. I had him to it for 8 seconds when the truck is over like 195 or something like that. If I run the A/C they usually dont stay on seein that the one fan is on high so it doesnt really get warm enough but if I run around with the windows down at shut her off they keep singin...
Again everything is working fine but I just was wondering if you guys had it set up for longer, shorter or dont have it at all...just trying to feel out if I should change it next time he tunes it...

wow almost 7 minutes huh?...I guess the biggest concern I had was it draining my battery...but I do like the idea of keeping my trucks coolant temp sky rocketing after shut down...
ok my next question is in your set up...the fans will continue to run if the ECT is above 200+, but what about if the ECT drops below that, will they automaticly shut off?...sorry for all the questions but just tryin to see whats the best set up...

I would GUESS they would run the time they are programmed for. Since there isnt a deactivate type of parameter. I have mine set to run 30 seconds just to move a little air around. I also plan on setting up a track tune, and let them run for several minutes to keep heat soak outta the cold pipes and inercooler.

Say your Shut Off Temp is 200*.
You shut off you truck and the Temp is 201+, Your fans will only run for the amount of Seconds you put in that Table.

I have 2 switchs that i can override the PCM for Low and High... Works great when you want to change the oil.. haha flip the switchs and get everything ready. After a lil while it will be plenty cool.. Atleast the Exhaust will be..
