Default Looking for a mail order tune recommendations

Im fairly new to the website and have done some searching but so far havent really been able to find a good answer to my question. I have HP Tuners and have been tuning my 99 silverado since I had it rebuilt, bored, heads milled and a 212/218 low lift cam installed and long tube ceramic headers, but havent been able to get as far as I would like to due to free time and im learning as I go so everything takes 3 times longer. Its fun and ive learned a ton. Ive got my truck running pretty good but i feel like its not all there yet. The truck's my daily driver so i need to get it finished ASAP. I would like to buy a mail order tune but not sure what company to go with. Any recommendations would be a big help. Thanks again.

NONE. Mail order tunes are a little better than a prorgrammer, but not much. wheatley is pretty good, and blackbear is ok IF and ONLY IF you do a data logging tune. I have logged a couple of trucks with nelson tunes and they were so far off it wasn't even funny. Seriously a waste of the customer's money...

Now I'm no expert tuner.. And I'll be the first to admit that I have don't know everything about tuning... But when I slap a half *** tune on a buddy's truck that's less aggressive than my nitrous tune and he starts dropping his ET by multiple tenths, I'd say the tune was the issue...

IMO, look for a local tuner who can do live tune for you. If not, go with Wheatley over anyone else for a mail order

the mail order tunes are good if you don't have any local tuners to get a decent baseline tune that you can build off of via data logging or driving to a tuner or something to go off of as you figure out tuning on your own...my opinion

Zippy is one of the best. You can email him a file and a log, he does some kind of wierd voodoo black magic ritual, and wala! He sends you back a tune thats spot on!

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Nelson's tunes could be way off. He really knows his stuff.
