Yes, you can use HPTuners. Also, I believe locking the converter would be beneficial for sled pulling as long as you got the truck launched first. There's a lot of variables in play with a sled pull including traction, but generally removing torque slip when the engine is in the power band during the pull should improve the distance and make traction more consistent.
