Default Lean codes after CAI install

I bought a CAI from a guy at work that had it on his truck (he's got a 5.3) and he put 7k miles w/o any problems. I install it on my truck (mine's a 6.2) and less than 2 weeks later I've got P0171 and P0174 codes. I've cleared them and the next day they come right back. I've checked all the clamps and everything is tight. Removed the MAF and inspected it and it looks fime, w/o and debris on it. My truck is an '11 with a 6.2, mileage is just over 36K. Is this common after CAI installation? Open for suggestions....

My 6.2 did same thing after putting my volant on it screws with the maf airflow and aggarvates all the way down to the tranny shifting correctly a tune will solve your problem. The other code you may have set under WOT is maf airflow greater than expected. But for diagnostic purposes you can always put stock box back on and drive it a few day's. Fairly common to need tune after a cai.

It can correct to a certain extent but it still needs a custom tune in order for the VE tables to be right.

After changing the intake it screws with VE table which effects fueling timing trans requested torque and a slew of other tables because the airflow through the MAF is no longer within a expected range during certain engine operation parameters.

I know that it won't "fix" itself completely, I do know that the pcm will adjust and compensate to an extent. I still plan on getting a custom tune. Now it's just sooner than later. I will be in the Dallas/Irving area the first week of April. Is there a good place or person that does tuning up there?
