Question Laptop for EFI Live

So just got the V2 software and looking to see what laptops people are using to live tune with. Wondering if I should get something just to use for tuning or if my everyday laptop is just fine. It's a Toshiba L755.

You could get a 23" laptop like Atomic has so you have to hold the screen open every time you go full throttle

to be honest i have thought about machining a brace with clamps that keep the screen from going past 90*

Im mainly asking because my everyday laptop has some issues that I haven't gotten fixed. Not to mention has a crap load of memory ate up from pictures and videos.

Just wondering if any of that will cause issues or if I should just get some cheap do nothing laptop for just tuning/logging.

I have a cheap HP Mini that is dedicated to tuning. You can buy used ones on fleabay for little money. I have the standard Windows 7 and the tuning software and nothing else. Never had a problem and the battery works for 30 minute log runs.

I can't remember the last time I actually used my laptop to tune! I do pretty much everything with my desktop and the BB features of the V2.

Yea I was thinking of doing it that way, but can you make adjustments from the V2 while out driving or does it have to be via laptop?

Just don't want to go out to log, then have to drive back home to make adjustments.

I have a $280 Toshiba that I recently got at Best Buy... I have always used Toshiba laptops for tuning - can't beat the price and they hold up well considering the abuse I have thrown at them...

Yea im thinking I might just go ahead and use the one I have now. Im gonna load the programs on my desktop too that way I can save everything to it for backup.

I haven't got too deep into learning stuff yet, but whats the easiest way to get a copy of the current tune up on here?
