KBRacing Style Turbo Tuning
#13
I've got about $5k invested in HPTuners currently so I'm good there. I just haven't messed much with the custom boost side of tuning.

I havent messed with HPT much at all. But ive always tuned mine with EFI Live in open loop speed density when it was turboed for several years and now N/A. Its been from 10* to 110* ambient and never had a problem. Theres tables in there to adjust fueling for IAT changes.

If you've ever touched a VE table, you're already familiar with the process. The key is to make sure you're starting out rich, and lean it out in small increments. Don't try to go in big steps because you will over-shoot & be lean.

So where does everyone run there wideband? Pre-turbo or post-turbo in the down pipe. I'd guess post would get a better mix of exhaust gasses but how at the outlet temps? Or is it run a little farther away to help combat that?

I am leaning more toward the turbo. For the price of the Maggie, I can build a really nice turbo setup and swap my trans to a 4L80E to handle all of the new found power.
