Default Just Got Hptuners...one Problem

When I go to the VCM Editor, click Flash, then entire, it says, " no vehicle found check to make sure key is in run position." I have tried it a couple different ways and I couldnt get past this point. Anyone have experience with this problem? I would like to get it fixed soon so I can start tuning away this weekend . Please help!!!

I trying to tune my truck, the one in my sig. Are the only fuses that would effect the tuning software from recognizing the vehicle, the ones that are located on the right side of the dashboard? Or do the ones under the hood matter?

Have you already read your VCM? Or will it read the VCM? Also the same fuse that supplies power to the connector is typically the same one as the cigarette lighter. You can click on the help tab and it will show what vehicles are supported.

also READ THE HELP FILE!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING A WRITE ENTIRE? 99.9% of the time it is unnecessary to do a write entire & your only asking for trouble by doing so.

yea check and make sure your Cig lighters work. if not you got a fuse blown. that fuse also sends power to the OBDII thing. you wont be able to do anything if its blown.

One of the MAIN reasons to do an entire write is if you want to lock the PCM

Not to sound like a complete dumbass, but, is the cig fuse marked as something else? Its in the fuse panel on the left of the dash correct?

I understand what you are saying. I have read all the help files and FAQs. I should have explained myself a little better. I was following the setup directions and it said go to VCM Editor, click Flash, then Read Entire. It said if the vehicle was not supported then it will prompt you to choose if you want to at that time. I have been trying to follow the setup to a T.
