Lots of bad info here.

What is the 8th digit of the VIN on the 02 Yukon?

You stated it is a LQ9 from a Escalade correct?
LQ9's come with 4L60E's or 65's

I don't want to get into everything else on how and why, but if you unplug the MAF and start the truck does the SES flash?

Interested in the info if you dont mind posting it up. He is using his PCM from his original motor which was for a 5.3. The LQ9 PCM is not in the truck.

just a simple mail order tune would get you a step in the right direction with a stock LQ9 tune..

that might take care of all your problems..

The lq9 pcm I have is out of an escalade 02 with a 65E trans and I also have a 65E trans...should I put the lq9 pcm in it and pull my 5.3 pcm so I can send it out for a tune?

i wouldnt have even wasted my time with the stock pcm...you went through all of the work in swapping the motor, and you have a pcm with a 6.0 tune and a 4l65e trans, which is what you have, so why would u not put that in right away? hell I had a custom tune waiting a month before I even started my swap so I could have it fully driveable when the last bolt was tight.

No -- well if your Yukon is a 2wd or AWD you could, but not 4wd or Auto 4wd

Exactly my thought cal...my truck is awd with an nvg149 case which is really independent from pcm...so I think I will be ok until I get it tuned?
Where can I get a good tune at a reasonable price?

your transfer case has its own control module (tccm, under the dash on the drivers side) and should be completely unaffected by the pcm?
