He is sending me a supercharger tune for free, so i guess i can use that to compare with what i have now, and with what others have helped me with so far.
I bought my first cable from Jesse, over a year ago, and I'm still waiting for my "free" turbo tune. Chad will help any one, doesn't mater where you bought your live from. He is the one who wrote most of the tutorials for live. I spent about 2 hours the other night IMing with him (he was at work, slacker ) asking him every question under the sun about how he tunes and all kinds of stuff and he was like "no problem man, ask anything you what, I don't mind." Told me exactly how he does it. He's more of a NA/ N02 car guy, but still a quite knowledgeable tuner. I'm buying a V2 cable as so on as there released, and It will most likely come from him . Jesse is a hell of a nice guy, but he's just too busy. Almost never get a response from a email to him.

Anyone know if there are any good threads or reading on how to tune the Allison trany? I know EFILive has the capability of doing that now but i haven't seen to much in the way of info on actually doing it.

just means as far as the shift patterns are concernd, from what I've seen they look VERY similar...obviously the mph/rpms will be different as far as when it shifts, but how to set the tables up looks similar.

Okay, I see. Unfortunately I have not seen anything in the way of how the tables look or the options that are available yet. Thats kinda what i was drivin at. Something with some screen shots, some "how-to's", and some suggested settings over stock settings.

in alot of cases its user preference...take your data, figure out what mph/rpm you'd like to shift & set it up.

alrighty, got everything except for the wideband today. Did a read ofthe PCM and Allison TCM. Everything seems to be going good. I am going to start with some logging on sunday and get my feet wet. Tomorrow we are heading out to Deep Creek Lake for the day so i wont have time to do much until Sunday. Can someone give me some pointers on where the best place to start would be with logging? Fuel trims, and how to do that? Or maybe something else? Anyway, here is a tune file of my Allison tranny if anyone is interested in seeing what that looks like.

Thanks for the good word kp. I would stay away from the fuel trims as the wideband is going to be more accurate for what you are trying to accomplish. To get your feet wet I would monitor your timing, kr, and just get a good overall feel of the software. Like they said above, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I don't care where you bought EFILive from as I am just happy you bought Live.

Thanks Chad, I appreciate the support. Its nice to have a great piece of software to use, but its even nicer when you have people willing to help you learn it as well.
