Default Intake Manifold Swap...

If I swap out the stock manifold to a Vic Jr., is a re-tune required? Nothing else is changing. I'd like to think the current tune would be close enough to get from DFW to SA.

Is this for the truck in your sig? If so, actually regardless, you will need a tune. The two intakes flow very differently, which may affect your fueling severly. I know the single planes flow a hell of a lot more air then an LS1/6 intake, let alone a truck intake. You will be running lean.

Yeah...the truck in the sig. Dang, I was hoping that I could get by and ease it down to San Antonio to let Allen tune it.

If you're closed loop and running a MAF, you should be able to get by on that drive. The system will compensate as much as it can for this change. I just wouldn't try and hot rod it til you have it re-tuned.

If you're closed loop speed density, then stay out of boost. If you're open loop speed density, then I wouldn't drive it.

If you drive it definately watch the wide band and go easy. At cruise conditions you should be at 14.6-14.7.

It is MAF and closed loop (I assume). I getting Allen to do an SD tune when I get there.
