How fast is the communication between your phones and these devices? I was considering one but I thought it would be laggy and useless for a lot of crucial parameters (A/F)

 

I havent had time to hook up the wide band yet but with the other parameters it seems to be doing fine. I have been watching the IAT temps and timing and have learned that it has about 22-23 degress of timing in it stock which shows it has some room to grow, hopefully I will have time to wire the wideband this weekend and see what kind of air to fuel ratio set it at from the factory

 

Got the wideband wired in and calibrated, this thing is rich from the factory(11.2afr) but I have since bought HP Tuners so I can sort that out

 

What's the response time when viewing the wideband on your phone? Instant? How's the data logging? Would you buy this instead of a stand alone gauge?

 

I haven't noticed any lag between the two, and I would with out a doubt choose this over a stand alone gauge, just for the simple fact it turns you IPhone into a data center, which on the gauge screen you can view up to 3 parameters simultaneously or up to 16 under list view on top of the other features which are listed on Innovate's OT-2 website. I can't vouch for the data-logging because I just use hp tuners for that but you can still hook up the LC-1 to the laptop through the serial cable and data-log through the Logworks software if you want a wired connection for logging.

 

Makes sense I guess. If you're actually trying to tune you aught to be logging using a wired connection into your tuning suite. Where the OT-2 seems to shine is allowing you to use your iPhone to replace a pillar full of attention grabbing, blind spot creating, gauges. I think I'm going to order one.
