Is there a best recommended place other than the MFG?
I think I read of a place that includes a nice book on it.

Why use a vendor if the MFG is the same price?

Nelson Performance is a distributor, and has the Pro Version in stock. 649.00 plus shipping.

 

It is illegal for them to limit selling prices, they can only limit advertised prices.

I would say fixed at the bottom. I'm sure if a vendor wanted to ask $899.99 HPTuners would not object. But going lower then the $649.99 seems to be a no-no out there.

I wound up going to HighPerformanceOutlet.com . Right now shipping, fast on the email inquiry responses and he emails the serial and key soon after the order confirmation so you can download the latest suite and have the software ready when the hardware comes.

 

I got the non-pro version for 500 last year. Put my wideband through the egr, made a custom PID, and it works fine.
