Default HPT scanner configuration Question

for the members using the HPT scanner to log their trucks. what PIDs are you using and not using. this specifically for a boosted application

also correct me if im wrong. your HPT scanner for MAP should read what the sensor is being if its a 1 bar 2 bar or 3 bar correct? so it should read either 0 -105 1 bar
0 - 200 2 bar
0 -315 3 bar

If your running a 3 bar you have to upgrade to 2.2 version and burn another 2 credits.

I did upgrade with a new 3 bar OS. i just did a configure of my scanner. But i was talking to a fellow memeber and he thinks i might of got sold a non- 3 bar map sensor. I bought the sensor of a ebay member. now will sensor read or will i have to configure like i just did? im trying to get an idea if i got sold a wrong map sensor.

also trying to see what other members are doing for custom scanner

on my map under the letters

CB A
834 3113

now on back next to nipple

AA1-6

now looking at the back of the map with nipple towards the right and the plug on bottom.

my A port is solid round [no key slot]
my B port has a key slot at 12oclock
my C port has a key slot at 3oclock

now is this a 3bar or did i get taken

Does the map bolt directly in your intake?

I have alot of config files set-up, it depends on what I want to tune... If I want to change shift points, I log my trans config and so on... I'll post up a few configs for you if you'd like...

no it doesnt bolt right into the intake. it looks like the map that is on a LT1 or older motor. a big box style map. i ended up using a hose to put over the nipple and cut to lenght to get it to slide in the intake port

yes i would appreciate the scanner config. i made one but not sure if its right or not

Did you rescale the MAP sensor in the tune? 1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar all use the same 0-5v range on the signal, so you have to tell the tune that 0-5v needs to be scaled to the full 315kpa or whatever instead of the stock 105 kpa.

no i didnt and that be why i keep throwing the map code? i bought the 3bar OS and found a tune off the registry to use as a base. dont think its working well

Can someone with HPT verify whether or not the MAP sensor needs to be rescaled with the 2 or 3 bar OS? I'm familiar with EFILive but not HPT.
