Find a stock tune from same year as your truck that came with a 4l80e. Transfer the rest of your settings from your current tune into it and use "write entire" when you flash your PCM.

Yep pretty much it, you go into the tune repository on HPT, or get someone on here to get you a stock file, looks like you found someone to help you out with that, and basically copy over all of your engine settings to the new 80 file, don't just copy the tranny tables on the 80 file over to your current 60 file, won't work. Just wanted to clarify that. So you basically are using the 80 file, and copying over your motor and DTC's and what not.

I am getting ready to start my swap, but have a question about the tune. I have started my 2 bar OS tune, but its registered to my truck. If i take a 4l80e file and transfer all my tables to it i'm going to loose my 2 bar right? Will my 2 bar stay with my vin if i do a vin change on the 4l80e file? I'm trying to find he most economical way of doing it. Your helps greatly appreciated.

haven't gone 2bar so really couldn't help you on it, but i would think that it stays with your vin. Basically to do a swap you have to get an OS that matches your existing so that you can change your vin to match. That's what i know, might not be of any help.

I still have my old 2 bar but can't use it with the 4L80e
I had to use a new License with the segment change
