Yes, I black box log with mine all the time. It will show all the PID's you are logging on the LCD, or just the AFR, ect. It's really nice. 
They are currently private beta testing the newest V8 BBLogging software which is going really well and as soon as its done, they will be beta testing the BBflashing and reading

also if yer not gonna be tuning yourself full time, see what yer tuner is more familiar with, like in my case .mine uses HPT so im going with HPT, also like that its alot cheaper, and comes with more VIN lic's
Tho.. price isnt a huge issue, if my tuner knew how to use EFI live or if i knew what the hell i was doing, id prob go with it.

EFILive, Upside..
Lots of support from other users and maker. Lots of tunning options in custom operating sytems, nitrous control, 2 bar, etc.....
The down side.....
tables look older, like a old version of windows. No Boost enrichment map based table, meaning if you run a 2 bar and want to spray meth, there is no "good" way to tune for it. you have to adjust for the meth in the v.e or any of the other RPM based adders
HPTuners, Upside....
Lots of support from users and builders, newwer looking windows, 2 bar operating system adds a map based fuel table to aid in tunning meth.
The down side...
Only 2 bar offered as a custom operating sytem.
so imo, if you are running FI you want HPTuners, Nitrous you want EFI, anything else is a toss up, they are both great and very compairable...
