I'm getting ready to buy either HP tuners or EFI live. I'm kinda new at this and I know there are several differences but I'd like to know what you guys that have these think about them. Which one is better and why or is there something else that is better. Thanks for your help and opinions.

 

Is that really a legit ??? People with HP will more then likely say HP, same goes for the guys with live... Both do the same thing pretty much

 

I totally 100% agree with that statement! Seems like alot of times if you say that you like one better than the other or whatever you will start a pissing match.

 

I figured i'd get some of that. I'm just asking people to tell me what they use and why they think it's better. If it's not about what you think is better please don't post. I'm not trying to start a "pissing match" I just don't want to buy one and then wish I had gotten the other. I'm sure there are people on here that have done that plenty of times. So yes I feel it is a legit question. That's one of the things this forum is for isn't it?

 

They are very comparable.Think about who lives around you and what tuning they use then get what they have so you can get help from them if needed.

 

I know their are a bunch of good demos and screenshots on hptuners website and or forum and I am sure that their is the same for efilive so maybe take a peek at some of them and compare at how stuff is setup in the programs, etc....

 

well as said above this might be biased.. but one thing u have to keep in mind is that HPTuners have ALOT more vehicles supported. Not only that, but look at the GEN3/GEN4 V8 forums compared to their competitor.

Alot more support, and get to know how if you research on it well.

Best thing to do is check out both of their forums, see which one you find easier to navigate around and see which one is rich with information...

 

Thanks guys, I have noticed how one brands forum seems easier to navigate and more helpful. I just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on this thing. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Well you know Ben has HPT.. you can Download EFI Live and compare them if you want. I can send you my tune and you can look over it and mess around.
