Question PT.net Family,

Can anyone tell me if the older model hp tuners vcm suite 2.0, came with a scan cable or a serial cable? Getting ready to pull the trigger on one. I heard hpt is starting to phase out their serial cables vs their usb. Looking to buy this used unit within the next hour

 

I don't the answer but I wouldn't invest in something that old.

Did a quick check on the web and serial interfaces are very very old.

 

It says 2.0 on the front of the box the, the little picture on the the front, but it comes with the 2.24 disk. What should i be looking for? The box itself has mvpi pro checmarked on the front and the inside contents contain a serial and usb cable

 

Is the serial # on the interface? Are you getting the login information to hptuners.com?

2.24 was the last, non-beta version before 3.0 was released this year.

I would stay away from it personally.

Thanks to Madmann24 for the support he provided. I drove 2 hours and picked up the unit. Guy originally want 400 for it, which i was willing to pay without any credits. To make the situation better, we even traded for an xbox 1 console with one game and two controllers. After getting the serial number and logging in, The unit shows that it has 8 gm credits and none were used. It was a newer unit VCM Suite MVPI PRO!!!

 

To be fair, the website always 8 credits/0 used for me.

If anything, you'll have to buy credits. The used/available credit numbers are stored on the interface.

 

Yes. I licensed my vehicle. I know have 6 credits left
